Newtown Twp Police Reports: Company Mail Scammed, Retail Thefts at Acme Totalling More than $2500 and More!

Newtown Township Police Reports – Feb 14, 2025 – Feb 20, 2025

2/14/25 – At 5:00 pm a Wrightstown Township resident responded to headquarters to report fraudulent purchases on her debit card. The total value of loss was $1,600, and a report was made to document the incident.

2/17/25 – At 2:30 pm police responded to McCaffrey’s Market on South Eagle Road for the report of a retail theft, not in progress. The total value of loss was $83, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

2/17/25 – At approximately 9:15 pm police conducted a traffic stop on a Volkswagen SUV operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Linden and German Avenues. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

2/19/25 – At approximately 4:30 pm police were dispatched to Acme Markets on West Road for the report of a retail theft, not in progress. The total value of loss was $2,074, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

2/19/25 – At approximately 7:45 pm police were dispatched to Acme Markets on West Road for the report of a retail theft, not in progress. The total value of loss was $465.00 and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

2/20/25 – At approximately 3:15 pm police were dispatched to Bucks Digital Printing on Walker Lane for the report of a scam involving parcels of mail that were fraudulently sent out under the company’s name. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
