Newtown Twp. Police Reports: Ski Mask Wearing Man in 7-Eleven Narcotics Seized, Woman’s Purse Stolen at Helen Randle Park and More

Newtown Twp. Police Reports – Jan 17, 2025 – Jan 23, 2025

1/18/25 – At approximately 12:45 am police were dispatched to the area of Penns Park Road and Cherry Lane for the report of a single-vehicle traffic accident. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

1/19/25 – At approximately 1:30 pm police were dispatched to Ulta Beauty on South Eagle Road for the report of a retail theft. The total value of loss was $177, and the investigation is ongoi0ng at this time.

1/20/25 – Shortly before 3:00 pm, police responded to ACE Hardware on South Eagle Road for the report of a retail theft. The total value of loss was $200, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

1/21/25 – Police were contacted around 9:15 am regarding a theft from a vehicle. The victim explained that her purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while parked at Helen Randle Park. She also received multiple notifications of someone’s attempts to fraudulent access her bank accounts. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

1/22/25 – At approximately 12:30 am police conducted a traffic stop on a Tesla operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Newtown Langhorne Road. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.

1/22/25 – At approximately 2:30 am police conducted a pedestrian stop at 7/11 on South Sycamore Street on a male subject wearing a ski mask inside the business for an extended time. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.
