Newtown Twp Police Reports – Oct 18, 2024 – Oct 24, 2024
10/18/24 – Police were dispatched to Lululemon shortly after 1:00 pm for the report of a retail theft. The total value of loss was over $3,000, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
10/18/24 – At approximately 8:45 pm police were dispatched to the area of Council Rock High School North for the report of an assault. The investigation is currently ongoing.
10/18/24 – Police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence at 10:20 pm for the report of a burglary. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
10/19/24 – At approximately 2:45 am police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford pick-up truck operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Swamp Road and Liberty Drive. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending for the operator and passenger.
10/20/24 – Shortly after midnight, police conducted a traffic stop on an Infiniti SUV operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Second Street Pike and Swamp Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
10/20/24 – At approximately 5:48 am police responded to 7-11 for the report of a vehicle theft that had just occurred. The investigation revealed a white male stole a grey 2020 4-door Toyota Camry left unattended and running in the parking lot. Investigators would like your assistance with identifying the individual. 10/20/24 – Around 4:30 pm a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report a theft of political signs from his property. There were no leads, and a report was generated to document the incident.
10/21/24 – At approximately 1:30 am police conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Altima operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and State Street. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. Charges are pending.
10/23/24 – At approximately 9:15 pm police conducted a traffic stop on a Jaguar sedan operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Durham Road and Wrights Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
