Newtown Township Police Reports – July 3 2025 – July 10 2025
July 3
At approximately 4:45 pm police were dispatched to the area of Terry Drive for the report of a possible theft of services/illegal dumping. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
July 4
At approximately 1:00 am police conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Rogue operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Freedom Drive. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. The operator refused to submit blood for chemical testing, and charges are pending.
At approximately 2:30 am police conducted a traffic stop on a Dodge Charger operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and State Street. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
July 7
At approximately 10:15 pm police conducted a traffic stop on a Toyota Tacoma operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Richboro Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
July 8
At approximately 1:45 pm police responded to Lululemon on South Eagle Road for the report of a retail theft that occurred earlier that day. The total value of loss was $476, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
July 9
At approximately 7:45 pm police were dispatched to the area of Terry Drive for the report of a possible theft of services/illegal dumping. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
