Newtown Township Police Reports – Feb 27 2026 – March 18 2026
3/3/26
At approximately 3:30 pm police were dispatched to a business in the Newtown Industrial Commons for the report of a bomb threat. Officers secured the area, and Middletown Township Police Department’s explosive-detecting K9s conducted an exterior and interior sweep of the business. After a comprehensive investigation and search of the area, no suspicious devices or credible threats were located. The police verified that the threat was unfounded, and normal business operations resumed. The incident remains under investigation.
3/4/26
At approximately 3:00 pm a Newtown Township resident responded to headquarters to report a fraud involving scammers posing as cryptocurrency analysts. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
At approximately 5:15 pm police were dispatched for a retail theft at Rally House on South Eagle Road. The total value of loss was approximately $250.
3/8/26
At approximately 3:45 pm, Newtown Township Police responded to a residence in Wrightstown for the report of a domestic dispute. Based on the officer’s investigation, one party was placed under arrest, processed, and arraigned for simple assault.
3/9/26
At approximately 8:48 am, Police were dispatched to a construction site for the report of a theft of wire. The investigation is ongoing.
At approximately 3:25 pm, a Newtown Township resident came to Headquarters to report a theft from a vehicle that occurred days prior.
3/10/26
At approximately 7:46 am, police were dispatched to the area of The Davis Feed Mill for the report of a disabled vehicle. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
3/13/26
At approximately 3:15 am police conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious Home Depot box truck located at Helen Randle Park. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug equipment were discovered and seized as evidence, and the male operator was arrested in connection.
3/16/26
At approximately 10:00 am a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report fraudulent charges on her debit card. The bank refunded the charges, and a police report was made to document the incident. The resident was advised to monitor her accounts and report any more suspicious activity.
3/17/26
At approximately 10:00 am a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report identity theft. The incident was documented, and the resident was advised to contact her banks, credit card companies, and credit bureaus to further monitor her accounts.
3/18/26
At approximately 11:30 am police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Swamp Road and Worthington Mill Road on a Ford Mustang operator for committing a roving Protection from Abuse (PFA) violation. The operator had followed the victim’s vehicle from the county courthouse following their PFA court hearing. He was taken into custody without incident, arraigned, and remanded to Bucks County Corrections.
