Yardley Borough Police Reports: Newtown Woman Charged with DUI & Lower Makefield Man, Drug Paraphernalia

Yardley Borough Police Report for July 30, 2024

Police say they arrested a 42-year-old Lower Makefield man for possession of drug paraphernalia and in a separate incident also arrested a 35-year-old Newtown woman for driving under the influence and careless driving.

On July 30, 2024 at approximately 9:57 a.m., Yardley Police officers, assisted by Lower Makefield officers, were dispatched to a an occupied suspicious vehicle at Windsor Rd. near Jervue Dr..  Further investigation led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia.  The suspect, a man age 42, from Lower Makefield Twp., PA was arrested, processed, charged and released.  The matter is pending Court, said police.

Yardley Police officers observed a vehicle stopped southbound on N. Main St. on July 30, 2024 at approximately 8:54 a.m., Upon further investigation it was discovered that the operator had struck a fixed object rendering the vehicle disabled.  Further investigation led to probable cause that the operator was under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance.  The suspect, a woman age 35, from Newtown was arrested, processed, charged and released.  The matter is pending court, police said.
