Nearby: U.S Marshals Seek Tips on Fugitive Sought for University City Grocery Store Murder

The U.S. Marshals Service Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Dameon Anderson, 44. 

Anderson is charged with murder for an April 6th shooting inside the Market Grocery in the 4000 block of Market Street, authorities say. 

After a verbal dispute, investigators said, inside the store, Anderson shot and killed a 26-year-old man and fled the scene on a motorized scooter.

On April 20th, Philadelphia homicide detectives obtained a warrant for murder and firearm possession by a convicted felon. The fugitive case was then delegated to the Marshals Task Force.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to Jone’s arrest. The reward will be processed immediately upon arrest and not upon conviction.

Anderson stands 5 feet 11 inches, weighs approximately 170 pounds, and goes by the alias “Dame”. He has black hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo on his right forearm. He is known to frequent the 40th and Market Street area and has been recently sighted in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
