Retired Cops Son in Trouble Again

The son of a retired Falls Township police officer can’t seem to stay out of trouble, as he was charged with a series of felony theft offenses earlier this year subsequent to an apparent investigation by Lower Southampton authorities.

Justin Langan of Langhorne, who will turn 25 next month, was arrested and charged for allegedly stealing a dirt bike from a former friend’s home last March.

Langan was sentenced this past summer to one year of probation and court costs after entering a guilty plea to reckless endangerment and resisting arrest charges stemming from a separate incident last December in which he fled state police.

According to police, on October 26, 2025 officers from the Lower Southampton Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of Berry Lane, Feasterville, for a report of a burglary.

The victims in this case, who both live at the residence, told investigators someone entered their home while they were away and took a dirt bike.

The dirt bike, according to police, was described as black and blue with “Monster” energy drink logos on it.

Officers observed the window on the back of the home was open and the screen had been removed and left on the lawn. Muddy footprints were found from the open window down to the basement where the dirt bike was stored.

Video was later obtained from the next-door neighbor, which showed a black Dodge Ram pickup truck arrive at the house on October 26, 2025 at 12:09 a.m., according to the criminal complaint.

The truck wheels can be seen and there appears to be something covering the passenger side rear window, said police.

The truck enters the victim’s driveway at 12:22 am . The truck drives away. At 12:23 a.m., a dirt bike exits the victim’s driveway and departs in the same direction as the truck. While the dirt bike is driving away the driver’s hat falls off and lands in the street next to the victim’s house, the probable cause alleges.

On the same day at 9:01 a.m., the black pickup truck stops in front of the victim’s residence and the driver gets out to pick up the hat. It appears that a black and blue dirt bike is in the truck bed, police wrote in court papers.

The dirt bike was apparently put back inside the residence and returned, police said.

One of the two residents viewed this video and told investigators he recognized the truck as one normally driven by his former friend Langan.

According to police, he and Langan had recently had a falling out.

Officers found a black Dodge pickup truck bearing Pennsylvania registration FP****was registered to a family member of Langan’s. The complainant said Langan often hangs out with a friend named Spencer.

Police  went to Spencer’s home on the same afternoon of the burglary and observed Langan’s black Dodge pickup there, and took a photo of the truck which showed it had a “Monster” energy drink cardboard box covering an apparent broken back window, according to the criminal complaint.

The complainant  also recognized Langan’s truck had a tire that didn’t match the others and that a broken back window was covered by the “Monster” energy drink box. These features were observed on the neighbors video, police noted in court papers.

Additionally, a search of traffic monitoring cameras showed that truck was driving in Lower Southampton Township on October 25 at 11:45 p.m., 24 minutes before the burglary. The truck was seen again driving in Lower Southampton Township on October 26 at 9:14 a.m., 13 minutes after the truck was seen returning the dirt bike, police said in court records.

Langan was arrested by Lower Southampton Police for a unrelated related matter late last year.  When that occurred police recorded on body worn cameras that he drove the Dodge pickup truck with Pennsylvania registration FP****(the truck had been painted blue).

Since October 2025, the truck has been painted multiple times, according to police.

The complainant said he/she never gave Langan permission to take the bike and he’s never borrowed it in the past. Langan, police said, had no reason to believe he had permission to take the bike.

On February 9, 2026, police spoke to Langan via phone. He admitted to owning the truck matching the description and that he did return to the residence and pick up the hat on the lawn, police said.

Langan said he came there that morning to pick up two Jeep batteries that were in the complainant’s driveway.

Langan told police he didn’t think he needed permission to take the batteries

Police told Langan a blue dirt bike was seen on video in his truck bed.

Langan, according to court records, denied it was his former friend’s dirt bike, implying it was a different blue dirt bike. He claimed his friend Spencer was in the truck with him when he came and retrieved the hat.

Langan was originally charged with four theft related felonies, in June when he was arrested, however, those charges were withdrawn at a August court hearing. He is now charged with unauthorized  use of a vehicle and criminal mischief.

He is due back in court for a pretrial conference on November 4. He is represented by Robert Amadeo Mancini, Esq
