Nearby: Warminster Man Convicted of Sexually Assaulting13 Year-Old in KS, Sentenced to 20 Years for Downloading Child Porn in PA

A Warminster man wit a 2002 conviction for child rape was sentenced on December 5 for possessing and downloading sexual assault materials involving children.

United States Attorney David Metcalf earlier this month announced Michael Hochman, 52, of Warminster, as been sentenced today to 240 (20 years ) months in federal prison and 10 years of supervised release by United States District Judge Kelley Brisbon Hodge for downloading and collecting thousands of images and video of child sexual abuse material.

Hochman, was charged by information with receipt of child pornography and pleaded guilty in June, prosecutors said.

In 2002, Hochman was convicted in the state of Kansas of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, for which he was sentenced to 55 months’ imprisonment. In that case, he communicated online with a 13-year-old girl, manipulated her into producing sexually explicit images, and traveled to Kansas and engaged in sex with the child on multiple occasions, federal authorities said.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims. The case was investigated by FBI Philadelphia’s Fort Washington Resident Agency and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michelle Rotella.
