Amazon announced last month that it has awarded a total of $150,000 to supporting local initiatives in Bucks County
22 local community groups, schools, nonprofits, and individuals will receive funds from the community fund program.
“At Amazon, we believe in building stronger communities by supporting meaningful, long-term initiatives that create opportunities and drive positive change,” said Lisa Schooley, Community Engagement Manager at Amazon. “We’re excited to see these changemakers put their ideas into action and make a lasting impact across Bucks County.”
The Amazon Bucks County Community Fund, which launched in February 2026, invited applications from Bucks County residents and organizations pursuing projects across themes including culture & heritage, digital skills, education & access, health & wellbeing, sustainability & environment, STEM, and hunger. Applications were reviewed and assessed by ChangeX, a non-profit organization that administered the fund, based on funding criteria and positive community impact.

This initiative is part of Amazon’s broader commitment to investing in communities through workforce development and community impact initiatives—reflecting our belief that sustainable progress hinges on empowering local talent and investing in grassroots impact.
In 2025, Amazon announced plans to invest at least $20 billion in Pennsylvania to expand data center infrastructure for AI and cloud computing; the Bucks County Community Fund is part of that larger commitment.
The data center being built in Falls Township has been the focus of strong community push back in recent weeks.
