Bensalem Hosts BCMEA Festival

Bensalem Township School District, in conjunction with their music faculty, will host the Bucks County Music Educators Association Festival, bringing together more than 600 of the best young musicians and their music teachers for three days of rigorous rehearsals culminating in a public performance.

The Bucks County Music Educators Association (BCMEA) is a professional organization made up of music teachers from both public and private schools throughout Bucks County. BCMEA is committed to providing high quality musical experiences for Bucks County students. For over fifty years, BCMEA has sponsored the Bucks County Music Educators Festival. Students audition for the opportunity to work with some of the most outstanding conductors in the Tri-State area. They also perform high quality literature with some of the most talented student musicians in Bucks County. Six ensembles are available for choral, band, and orchestral students at the middle and high school levels.

The public is cordially invited to attend any or all concerts held in the auditorium  at the Bensalem High School, located at 4319 Hulmeville Road.

The concerts are scheduled as follows:

  • Friday, March 21 – 7 p.m. ~ BCMEA Middle and High School Choral Concert
  • Saturday, March 22 – 12:30 p.m. ~ BCMEA Middle and High School Orchestra Concert
  • Saturday, March 22 – 7 p.m. ~ BCMEA Middle and High School Band Concert

Tickets are available at the door: $10.00 for adults; and $5.00 for students and senior citizens.
