Bristol Campus Center for Advanced Technology set to Open this Summer

Bucks Community College’s Advanced Technology building at the Epstein Campus in Bristol is set to be opened by June 2022.

The $9.9 million building first broke ground on January 25th, 2021, and promises to give students of Bucks Community College advanced manufacturing training and workforce programs.

According to Megan Smith, Executive Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Bucks County Community College, the building is on schedule to be completed by the end of May 2022, and is planned to be opened by June 2022.

When asked if the pandemic played a part in slowing down construction of the building, Megan said that the pandemic didn’t have much of an effect on the building of the new center.

“It was in the planning process before the pandemic, so we haven’t had any real problems with sourcing materials.” Megan said.

Along with the building, the school has a dedicated Workforce Development Fund meant to provide scholarships to students who desire a career in manufacturing, but can’t afford tuition. The school is inviting alumni, regional leaders, and local businesses to invest in the funds for the sake of those who want a career in manufacturing.
