Bristol Community Fun Day Set for Elementary School Students

The students of Snyder-Girotti Elementary School are in countdown mode with schools ending just days away.  And also because of a community fun day sponsored by the school district and Bristol Borough, through the shared Recreation Program.

School district officials announced planning for the free event at the May School Board meeting.

Councilman  Bryan Johnson at Monday nights Council work session said plans are now finalized for the event marking the end of the school year which will take place Monday June 13 beginning at 11:30 a.m. on the fields behind the elementary school.

Activities such as two bounce houses,  a water slide, dunk tank, face painting, free water ices will be on hand for students to enjoy and celebrate the ending of the school year and beginning of summer break, Johnson said.

Of course this publications favorite activity to cover will be who volunteers to be dunked in the water tank. Sources say school district officials will be high on the list of potential dunkees.

Johnson, is one of council’s representatives for the joint effort recreation committee the school district is also part of. The activities are in coordination with Borough Athletic Director Mike Poploskie leading the way.

Borough children in recent weeks have participated in a number of events recently, sponsored or in coordination with Bristol related officials. 

Poploskie said recently,  we’re in our first s r of recreation development as we held basketball in the winter, soccer this spring, and we’re far from finished from offering new events for kids and adults.

“More is to come” he said.

Kids, get your dunk tossing skills in shape for target date is T- six days and counting.

    Can children in the Borough that dont go to the public school attend?
