Bristol’s Poploskie Recognized as 2025 Middle School Athletic Director of the Year

Michael Poploskie, CMAA Athletic Director Bristol High School Submitted

The Bristol Borough man affectionately called “Pops” was named the 2025 Middle School Athletic Director of the year by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Director’s Association (PAADA)

Mike Poploskie, CMAA, Athletic Director at Bristol High School was named 2025 Middle School Athletic Director of the Year. during the PSADA (Pennsylvania State Athletic Directors Association) Conference last month/

Poploskie is a 2000 graduate of Bristol High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society and participated in basketball/baseball. He graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Health and Physical Education. He also has a Master of Education (Cabrini College), Athletic Administration (California Universityof PA), and Supervisory Certificate (Point Park University).

Poploskie started his career as a substitute teacher in 2005, then was hired as a Physical Education teacher at Mastery Charter Pickett Campus in 2007, where he spent 15 years as a physical educator and athletic director.

In 2022, he returned to the Bristol Borough School District as a Dean of Students/Athletic Director and now serves as the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director.

Poploskie currently still serves as the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Philadelphia Athletic Association which is a middle school athletic league that offers 15 sports and serves 33 charter schools in Philadelphia. In 2018, he was recognized as one of the top 40 under 40 by Coach and AD Magazine. He was also recognized in 2018 as the Region 1 Athletic Director of the Year through PSADA. In 2021, he was awarded Athletic Director of the Year from the Philadelphia Public League Coaches Association.

For the last 11 years, he has taught NIAAA classes in Philadelphia helping over 50 athletic directors work towards their certifications. The last 7 years he has taught at the PSADA conference in Hershey. In 2021 Mastery Charter Pickett Campus earned all three levels of the NFHS Honor Roll and in 2024 Bristol High School earned Level 1 and Level 2 of the NFHS Honor Roll.

Mike and his wife Heather have four children Olivia (15), Katelyn (11), Sophia (11) and Mikey (7) and live in Historic Bristol Borough.
