Credit: Submitted

Bristol Township School District is offering free, nutritious meals to children through its Summer Food Service Program. Starting Monday, June 23, breakfast and lunch will be served Monday through Friday in the Truman High School cafeteria through August 21, excluding July 4.

Meals are free of charge to any child 18 years of age or younger. No application or registration is required, and children do not need to be enrolled in Bristol Township schools. However, children must be present to receive meals, and meals must be consumed on site. Each child is eligible for one breakfast and one lunch per day.

Meal times:

  • Breakfast: 8:00–8:45 a.m.
  • Lunch: 10:00–11:45 a.m.

Meal components include:

  • Breakfast: milk, fruit or vegetable, and grain/bread
  • Lunch: milk, two fruits and/or vegetables, grain/bread, and a meat or protein alternative

Menus will be posted in advance on the district’s SFSP webpage.

This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered locally by school districts and community organizations.

To find additional summer meal sites in the area, families can:

Text “FOOD” or “COMIDA” to 304-304 and enter a ZIP code or use the USDA summer site finder.
