Rep Davis Announces Reelection Effort

Submitted

State Rep Tina Davis (D-141) announced on Wednesday  she is running for re-election.

Davis said in a social media post “Today I announced I will be running for re-election as State Rep of the 141st District. I am proud of the work I have been doing in Harrisburg to fight for the hard working people in my district, and I look forward to continuing to fight for you.”

Davisin her fifth term representing a district comprised of sections of  Bristol and Middletown Township  Hulmeville and Penndel Boroughs, said “I will continue to hold accountable those in Harrisburg that have turned their backs on the working families.”

Davis has used  her increasing influence in Harrisburg, by bringing  expert panels to Bucks County to lay the groundwork for combating online fraud and bullying, heroin/opiate abuse, and to devise fairer taxes and better services for America’s military veterans.

Davis is at the forefront of major issues effecting change locally with initiating changes to child custody law, “revenge porn” legislation to protect women on social media and oversight of recovery houses that swamped portions of her legislative district during the height of the opioid epidemic.

Davis supports a drilling tax on frackers that would in turn go towards supporting public education efforts in the commonwealth.

“Government needs to work for all of us, not just big corporations,” Davis said.

Davis is a life long Democrat who lives in the Croydon section of Bristol Township with her husband Jim and their three children.

Local Republicans are still going through the candidate vetting process, sources told LBS earlier this week, on whether a candidate will oppose Davis in November. According to Bucks County Board of Election Data, the vote totals of candidates running against Davis in the past four election cycles,  would not surpass her total vote count of her 2018 reelection.
