Bristol Township Council honored the Wardogs Athletic Association last week in a special ceremony highlighting their achievements in the recently competed football season and the leagues dedication to teaching lessons critical to personal development.
Wardogs Football & Cheer has been providing Lower Bucks County with a tackle football since 2000 and has made Bristol Township its home from its beginnings offering youth of the area not only games to be played but in character and personal growth.
“Our goal is to help these children build character by demonstrating high moral standards, instilling a strong work ethic and competing at the highest level,” the youth league website says.
Council woman Cindy Murphy read the resolution aloud to a thunderous applause from those attending the meeting.

The resolution says in part: Wardogs Youth Association is based out of the Bristol Township Municipal Complex and that not only does the Wardogs Athletic Association teach football and cheerleading but also emphasizes, good citizenship, sportsmanship, academics, and what it truly means to be a member of a team. The Wardogs Football Association has brought great honor, acclaim, and respect to Bristol Township, its players, coaches, cheerleaders and parents that Wardogs Football is commended for their 2022 Championship Football season and honored for their commitment to the children of Bristol Township.
Special congratulations went out to the Undefeated D1 7U and The D2 10U Champs!
During our time, Wardogs Football & Cheer has fielded a multitude of Division and State Championships as well as National Championship contenders, winning three National Championships along the way, a spokesperson said
“Its been an honor to be back on the township field and back working with you guys,” said Wardogs President Virgil Mobley.
You all might need a bigger room because we’re planning on bringing six championships home next year, Mobley added
