Pennsbury School District to Provide Free Brunch To Kids Beginning Tuesday

Submitted:

Beginning Tuesday Pennsbury students may enjoy free, nutritious brunch meals provided by The Nutrition Group, the District’s food service provider, officials said.

The district is able to distribute the meals to serve children 18 years and younger during the time period that schools will be closed.

Pre-bagged, Grab-and-Go brunch meals will be available  from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pennsbury High School East bus dock, located at 705 Hood Boulevard in Fairless Hills, each weekday a spokesperson said.

No application is required, but children must be present to receive meals. A student name and current school must be provided. No one will be permitted to enter the building during brunch service, school district officials say.

“Meals are completely free and will be distributed in a drive-through fashion. Cars will be directed to form a line, and we ask for patience with this process as we work together to serve the needs of our children,” district officials said.

Meals must be picked up and taken home according to statement.

“Our goal is to make sure all children have access to healthy food during the closure and return nourished and ready to learn.”
