10 New COVID-19 Cases, 1 Death Reported by Health Dept as Green can be Seen on the Horizon

The trend towards green in Bucks County continued on Tuesday with the Bucks County Health Department adding 13 cases to its COVID-19 totals, 10 of them new infections, the other three delayed reports that no longer are considered contagious, officials said. 

One death of a coronavirus-infected person also was reported: an 84-year-old woman who lived in a long-term care facility and had underlying health conditions.

Of the 13 infections reported Tuesday, eight are residents or workers at long-term care facilities, four were attributed to pure community spread and one was from a household contact.

The new case count numbers fall well under the 22 per 100,000 metric set by the Wolf administration which is the trend for Bucks County new case number for more than a week now. 

State, county, and local officials expect to be told this Friday Bucks will be moved to the last and final phase – green- of Governor Tom Wolf”s reopening plan. 

County Spokesman Larry King said “yes” the county commissioners anticipate good news come Friday. 

Eighty-one Bucks County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 15 of whom are in critical condition and on ventilators.

Bucks County has now had 5,150 total positive cases, 494 deaths attributed to the coronavaris, and 2,401 patients confirmed to have recovered.
