St Mary’s in Langhorne Secures $65K State Grant for Breast Care Center

Credit: State Sen. Frank Farry

The Breast Center at St. Mary’s received state funding of $65,000 for equipment upgrades and training.

The announcement comes ahead of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. St. Mary’s Breast Center uses a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosing and treating breast cancer. Advanced imaging technology and highly trained staff play a vital role in identifying abnormalities early, when treatment options are most effective, according to health experts.

The investment will enhance women’s medical imaging by improving patient comfort, strengthening staff expertise, and replacing breast ultrasound transducers. The funding will also support on-site clinical training for radiologists and technologists, ensuring the breast biopsy procedures are conducted safely, accurately, and efficiently.

The funding was jointly secured by state Senator Frank Farry (R-6th District) and state Representative Joe Hogan (R-Bucks).
