Bucks Declares ‘Code Blue’ through Saturday Feb. 22

A “Code Blue” declaration will be in effect for Bucks County through Saturday in response to a forecasted stretch of frigid temperatures from Tuesday until Saturday morning. 

Bucks County announced that shelters in Upper, Central and Lower Bucks will open Monday evening, Feb. 17 and will remain in operation through Saturday morning, Feb. 22.

The following shelters have been activated for this Code Blue event:

Any guests needing bus pick-up from the Morrisville Bus stop should call 215-550-3868 x100 and leave a message with their name, phone #. We will do our best to get a bus out to you. Requests must be made by 5:00pm, no exceptions.

The Upper and Lower Bucks shelters will open at 8:30 p.m. The Central Bucks shelter opens at 7:30 p.m.

The county issues a “Code Blue” declaration when temperatures are forecast to drop below 20 degrees for two or more consecutive days. A “Code Blue” may be called amid higher temperatures, as consideration is also given to wind chill, precipitation and other circumstances.
