The Friends of the Delaware Canal will host its annual spring clean-up from 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, April 11, and volunteers are invited to lend a hand.
This effort helps remove trash, debris and brush along the 58.9-mile canal and towpath from Easton to Bristol, keeping this historic waterway beautiful and accessible for all.
Local work areas include:
- Bristol Riverfront Park to Bristol Lagoon Park
- Bristol Lagoon to Green Lane
- Green Lane to Edgely Avenue
- Edgely Avenue to Levittown Shopping Center
Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, waterproof footwear and tools such as long-handled rakes, grabbers or branch clippers. Trash bags will be provided.
