Delaware Canal Spring Clean-Up Day is Approaching

The Friends of the Delaware Canal will host its annual spring clean-up from 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, April 11, and volunteers are invited to lend a hand.

This effort helps remove trash, debris and brush along the 58.9-mile canal and towpath from Easton to Bristol, keeping this historic waterway beautiful and accessible for all.

Local work areas include:

  • Bristol Riverfront Park to Bristol Lagoon Park
  • Bristol Lagoon to Green Lane
  • Green Lane to Edgely Avenue
  • Edgely Avenue to Levittown Shopping Center

Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, waterproof footwear and tools such as long-handled rakes, grabbers or branch clippers. Trash bags will be provided.
