Biggest Outdoor Concert of the Year “Oldies by The River” Set to End Summer on a High Note in Historic Bristol Borough

A sea of doo-wop loving – golden oldies – disco dancing – rock and roll – humanity will descend on Bristol Borough for the largest free outdoor live concert in Bucks County; Oldies by the River.

Thousands from the tri-state area trek to the Mill Street Parking lot for the annual last big summer event in Historic Bristol.

The incredible and what feels like an all day family friendly event is set to kickoff at 5:p.m. just as the sun descends on the horizon and the moon showers the stage and audience with its bright musical tones.

Work crews have spent the last 10 days or so outfitting the parking lot with new lighting systems that are sure will bring a different gloss to the outdoor concert.

This year’s event features…

  • The Sounds of Soul Train starring Bobby Wilson
  • Forever Donna – A Tribute to the Queen of Disco with Rainere Martin
  • National Recording Artist The Platters former lead singer Frank Pizarro
  • Pop Divas Through the Decades featuring The Chiclettes
  • The Sounds of Malt Shop starring 77 WABC Radio Host Vinnie Medugno
  • Music by The Coda Band

Concertgoers start showing up in the late morning hours. Motorist and foot traffic will be heavy at times with Bristol Fire Police directing vehicle traffic beginning at the Old Rt 13 – Mill Street Intersection.

Parking & Shuttle Bus service will be at  Lenox, Radliff Street. 

Refreshments will be available as there is expected to be at least a dozen food truck with various delectable, tasty offerings.
