Gun Violence Awareness Groups to Hold Candlelight Vigil in Central Bucks Thursday

A Woman’s Place and Cease Fire PA  are holding a candlelight vigil in Central Bucks to honor those who have lost their lives to gun violence.

Scheduled for  Thursday, December 4, 6:30 p.m. at the Buckingham Friends Meeting House, 5684 York Rd. Lahaska, PA 18931

The gathering  will honor those taken by gun violence in Bucks over the past year, generate public attention on the impact of gun violence, and support survivors and families, an event spokesperson said.

There will be  performances from community members and speakers such as CeaseFirePA and A Woman’s Place staff, local faith leaders, Sheriff-elect Danny Ceisler, State Rep. Brian Munroe, and more.

There will also be a moment of reflection as the names of those lost to gun violence will be read aloud to honor their memories, organizers said.

The vigil, will be followed by a casual reception. All ages welcome.

Community members planning  to attend,  are asked to please RSVP so a final headcount can be approximated for food and parking for the event.
