Local Cooling Stations Available as Excessive Heat Lingers

With a second straight day of excessive heat in progress local municipalities have opened cooling stations in the area.
In Bristol Borough the Senior Center Bldg will be open today (Thursday) and Friday  from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Location: 301 Wood St. Bristol 19007
Bristol Township Senior Center Bldg will be open also from 8:30am to 6:00pm. Location: 2501 Bath Road, Bristol 19007
Tullytown Municipal Complex will be open from 9:00am to 9:00pm. Location: 500 Main Street, if you need a place to cool down.
The National Weather Service says the heat index values will make it feel like 107 degrees outside.
Please keep yourself hydrated and if possible, find air condition to cool down. Should you need further assistance, you can call the United Way Help line at #211
Also  check in on older adults living alone, they are extremely vulnerable on heat drenched days like today.
Lastly pets can also suffer as a result of extreme heat. Paws on hot black top, is not exactly
