National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is April 30th

Bucks County Police Departments will participate in the  “National Prescription drug take back day”, taking place on April 30th from 10am to 2pm. The Bi-annual event provides communities with a  safe way to dispose of unused, unneeded, or expired medications to make the community safer for kids, animals, and the environment.

Prescription medicines that are being collected include:

-Over the Counter medication and vitimins

-Liquid medications, creams, ointments, inhalers and nasal sprays

-pet medications

-Vaping devices, cartridges, pods, and E liquids

According to the Drug Enforcement Agency, The DEA, along with its law enforcement partners, removed close to 745,000 pounds of unneeded prescriptions from medicine cabinets across the country during the last take back collection.
