NOVA, launched its annual Holiday Gift Card Drive to help to deliver holiday cheer to clients in need.
Each holiday season, NOVA works with donors, staff and volunteers to collect gift cards for clients to help brighten their holiday season. Every person/family selected to receive a gift card has been personally affected by crime and has been vetted by NOVA advocates or counselors. This year, the need has greater than ever, and NOVA needs the community’s support to help brighten the holidays for its clients.
The gift cards will enable NOVA clients to make their own holiday purchases. For some, the gift cards will be used to purchase a special toy their child is hoping to receive. For others, the gift cards will be used to purchase groceries for a holiday meal.
“For many of the individuals and families we serve, the holiday season can be especially difficult as they continue to cope with the impact of trauma,” said Penny Ettinger, Executive Director, NOVA. “A gift card may seem like a small gesture, but it can make a meaningful difference by helping ease financial stress and giving our clients the opportunity to experience some comfort and joy during the holidays. We are grateful to everyone who helps make the season a little brighter for those we serve.”
The deadline to donate a gift card is November 4, 2026. To sign up and donate a gift card, visithttps://novabucks.org/hol
