Localities Announce Plans for Upcoming Week amid COVID-19 Mitigation

Lower Bucks localities announce plans amid the COVID-19 pandemic for conducting business. 

Langhorne, Penndel and  Yardley officials said in order to minimize the risk of COVID-19 spreading in community they have made the decision to close the Borough offices until March 30th per the extension of social distancing and mitigation practices to Bucks County by Gov. Wolf announced Saturday.

Penndel Borough staff will be available to help members of the community via phone, fax, e-mail during normal business hours. Officials will be working remotely during the usual office hours,  monitoring voicemails and emails of residents. 

Yardley Borough officials will work from home and remain available to serve Yardley residents, a statement said.  Inquiries should be directed to Borough Manager Paula Johnson at pjohnson@yardleyboro.com. The Borough Manager may, at her discretion, take appointments with residents to handle urgent business, officials said. 

The Langhorne Borough Manager and clerk will be working remotely monitoring communications with the municipal office. Residents can call and leave a message (215) 757 3768 or e-mail manager@langhorneborough.com for assistance and questions. 

Morrisville will hold its regularly scheduled council meeting Monday night at 7 p.m. suggesting to residents if they are concerned or do not feel well to view the meeting from home, officials said Friday. 

Tullytown announced bulk garbage pick-ups are cancelled until March 30 and borough offices will be closed on Fridays for cleaning.
