Measles Vaccines Available at GIANT In-Store Pharmacies in Lower Bucks County

The GIANT Company announced that MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccines are available at its in-store pharmacies, following a recent report by the Pennsylvania Department of Health that measles cases are on the rise,

Measles is highly contagious and can lead to serious complications, particularly in young children and unvaccinated individuals. The MMR vaccine remains the safest and most effective way to prevent measles. The CDC recommends two doses which provide approximately 97% protection.

Subject to state regulations, GIANT’S pharmacies in Pennsylvania can vaccinate customers ages 8 and up without a prescription if they meet eligibility requirements for administering MMR vaccine.

GIANT’S pharmacists are available to review vaccination status with patients, provided trusted vaccine education, administer MMR vaccines to eligible patients, and help patients determine if they need catch-up vaccination.

Customers should bring their prescription insurance card and speak with a pharmacist to determine vaccine eligibility and availability.
