Just In: Lower Makefield Closes Community Center for Two Weeks at Least

Lower Makefield officials just announced they are closing the community center as of Friday 12 p.m for 14 days at least. 

A press release said the closure is consistent and in cooperation with Governors  guidelines regarding at risk populations. 

The guidance included recommendations to close senior centers, community centers, and nursing homes, officials said in a press release. 

The closure will restrict access for user groups of the community center too, said Lower Makefield officials. 

Lower Makefield will continue to asses the situation and will provide additional information throughput the initial 14-day time frame the release said. 

Officials said they expect to release more information about specific classes, programs and registrations soon.
