2024 Paris – USA’s Ledecky Dominates Women’s 1500m Freestyle, Sets New Olympic Record

Katie Ledecky, 27 of Florida, not only took the gold, she dominated the Women’s 1500m Freestyle swimming event.

Ledecky added another medal to her 2024 Olympic collection on Wednesday. She previously won bronze in the Women’s 400m Freestyle. She not only added another medal but she won gold, she set a new Olympic record, she had a 10 second lead, and all alone when she touched the wall for the win. She was 15 in 2012 when she won her first Olympic gold in the 800m event.

Torri Huske, 21 of California, captured  silver for the Women’s 100m Freestyle, winning her second medal in Paris. She now has a gold and silver for the Paris Olympics.

The USA gained four more medals on Wednesday upping their total medal count to 30.

Perris Benegas, 29 of Nevada, took home the silver for the Women’s Park event in Cycling Women BMX Freestyle.

Evy Leibfarth, 20 of North Carolina, grabbed the bronze for the Women’s Canoe Single Event in the sport of Canoe Slalom
