And the Construction Continues in Bensalem & Middletown Twps on U.S.1

PennDOT) announced bridge deck sealing will be performed at night next week on U.S. 1 under a $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of U.S. 1 in 1 Bensalem and Middletown townships, Bucks County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

• Sunday, September 28, through Friday, October 3, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, lane closures will be in place on U.S. 1 in both directions between Fairhill Avenue and the Route 132 (Street Road) Interchange.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The work is part of PennDOT’s U.S. 1/RC2 contract that will reconstruct and widen U.S. 1 from south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 Interchange.
