Bensalem Memorial Day Parade Pays Respects to Veterans

On a beautiful spring morning Bensalem’s held it’s annual Memorial Day Parade Monday. The parade started at 10:00am, with the route having the parade start at Holy Ghost Prep school, then going down Route 13 to Mill Road.

A ceremony was held at Andalusia VFW post 9198 on route 13. Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo spoke, along with representative K.C Tomlison.

Tomlinson thanked the troops for everything they’ve done, while DiGirolamo asked residents to never forget those who fought and served for the country.

“Let’s not just remember veterans on Memorial day, let’s remember them everyday.” he said

Among those participating in the  people were parade were first responders, the Bensalem High School’s marching band, the Duff String Band.
