On October 3, Bucks Digital Media, LLC aka Lower Bucks Source (LBS) delivered book bags filled with school supplies to the Family Services Association of Bucks County (FSABC) emergency shelter with an eye towards ensuring children in need have the necessary tools to thrive and succeed in school.
Publisher Editor Jeff Bohen and content manager Joanne Ames were greeted by site staff who helped unload the hefty bags filled with about 40 book bags that were left over from a distribution effort in September.
Bohen paid for $250.00 worth of school supplies to for the original effort. The decision to donate the remaining book bags to FSABC was made by organizers of the back to school effort last month.
FSABC Director of Housing Services, Murielle Kelly, gladly accepted the donations thanking the publication. She noted there has been a recent uptick of children at the site saying the bookbags and supplies will definitely fill a need and be put to good use.

In the beginning of a brutal heat wave last summer, Lower Bucks Source purchased and donated an air conditioner to a family with five children who just moved into a Bristol apartment exhausting their resources.
