Commissioner DiGirolamo Named PRO-A Milton Berkes Legislative Hero Award Winner

Before becoming a Bucks County Commissioner Gene DiGirolamo served as a state Representative in Harrisburg for several terms and was the Human Services committee chair for about 10 years facilitating and championing a forward thinking legislative perspective and agenda on addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery at the state level.

Bensalem Councilwoman Michelle Benitez announced late Monday that DiGirolamo has been named PRO-A Milton Berkes Legislative Hero Award Winner.

“From his years in the PA House to now serving as Bucks County Commissioner, Gene has dedicated his career to supporting individuals, families, and communities impacted by addiction. His work has saved countless lives and will benefit generations to come,” Benitez noted in a social media post.

“Congratulations, Gene, on this well-deserved honor!” she said.
