An anticipated late-June return for Big Lots – Fairless Hills, big lots levittown pa, is in the works.
The Fairless Hills location at 500 Lincoln Highway was closed when its owners filed for bankruptcy protection earlier this year. They are now poised to make a big comeback as result of new ownership.
Gordon Brothers announced their purchase in January 2025 of Big Lots, a venture for over a year. As a result of the purchase, Big Lots’ assets, including its stores, distribution centers and intellectual property, can be transferred to other retailers and companies, including Variety Wholesalers, Inc.
Variety Wholesalers is acquiring at least 200 stores under the Big Lots brand and retaining employees, Gordon Brothers said in a press release. A real estate service will be provided to Variety Wholesalers to support the go-forward footprint for Big Lots by Gordon Brothers.
In the past month, workers have been in and out of the Fairless Hills location remodeling the store. Work trucks in the parking lot carried names such as Remco, Inc, Premier Fire & Safety, Durex Flooring and Pioneer Consulting Building Restoration.
The Fairless Hills shopping complex has been around for approximately 60 years. It is now home to Retro Fitness, Funzilla, Arossa’s, Top Nails and a new tenant – Big Blue Swim School. Grocery Outlet is an upcoming business that is expected to also open in June and be located next to Big Lots. Wawa, part of the complex is a stand-alone store facing Lincoln Highway. Newest owner of the 190.000-square-foot complex is Ocean State Job Lot, reported by The Philadelphia Business Journal in January 2025.
