Residents of Bucks County can enjoy a night of laughs when NOVA, the county’s comprehensive crime victim services agency, hosts its upcoming “Funny Fundraiser” at Poco’s Comedy Cabaret.
The evening will feature stand-up sets from comedy club headliners MISSY, Tim Conniff, and Kevin Tiers, with all proceeds directly funding NOVA’s free, confidential support services for crime victims and local violence prevention initiatives.
The show takes place Saturday, August 8 at 8 p.m on the second floor of Poco’s located at 625 North Main Street in Doylestown. The cost is $30, plus a processing fee. Click here to purchase tickets.
For those who want to make it dinner and a show while supporting NOVA at the same time, Poco’s Restaurant will donate 20 percent of each patron’s bill to NOVA. Patrons must mention NOVA to their server.
MISSY is a National Comedy Competition Champ who has appeared on Tru TV. Her comedy CD Miss Representation received a Grammy nomination and was voted top on Pandora Radio. Tim Conniff, a Bucks County native who specializes in clean comedy, is also an author and motivational speaker. Kevin Tiers is a Comedy Cabaret regular.
“We are delighted that Poco’s Comedy Cabaret is again helping to support NOVA,” stated Penny Ettinger, Executive Director, NOVA. “Third-party fundraisers are a great way to bring people together, raise support for NOVA’s mission, and help the community learn about the services and programs we provide. I hope everyone comes out, enjoys a great night of comedy, while supporting a vitally important cause at the same time.”
