The April 2022 overdose death of a Bucks County first responder led to the an investigation of an online pharmacy authorities shut down, police say.
On Tuesday, Warrington Township Police issued a press release about an investigation launched about 32 months ago into an online pharmacy vendor operating under the domain “Sure Life Solutions” and was initiated after a Bucks County EMS first responder died as a result of a fatal drug overdose.
The day after the victim passed away, a Fed Ex package was delivered to the victim’s address in Bucks County, police said. The package contained six individual sealed blister packs containing a combination of Valium and Rivotril (Clonazepam).
Warrington Township Police Department began working with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI Philadelphia) and determined that the drugs were ordered from a clear net pharmacy vendor, authorities said.
Law enforcement conducted several controlled purchases of narcotics from Sure Life Solutions, which were all obtained without legitimate prescriptions, and were able to track the pharmacy operations to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. police said.
In October and December of 2024, participating law enforcement obtained two search and seizure warrants issued in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania to seize the current domain of Sure Life Solutions, listed as https://surelifesolutions.company.site.
The HSI Cyber Crimes Task Force partnered with the National Cyber Forensics and Training Alliance in addition to the domain provider companies who successfully seized the Sure Life Solutions domain effective December 20, 2024.
Subsequent to seizure, the splash page was displayed, highlighting the participating agencies to include HSI, Warrington Township Police Department, Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, DEA, FDA, and the US Postal Inspection Service. This is an OCDETF (Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force) sponsored investigation.
