Lower Bucks may not have a Toys for Tots program this holiday season , as a new coordinator or volunteers are needed desperately the organization announced Tuesday.
The coordinator for the last 30 years has stepped back from running the program. There is a person willing to be an advisor and provide guidance running things in Lower Bucks, but the program needs 3,000 sq. ft. space of warehouse to house the program and a volunteer to serve as a “warehouse manager,” organizational officials said.
Without the ‘warehouse manager’ volunteer, there will be no program in Lower Bucks this year, officials said.

According to Toys for Tots website, the organization distributed just under 33,000 toys to a little more than 6000 Bucks County Children in 2023.
The effort is run by a core group of volunteers who have offered to dedicate their spare time to insuring that the less fortunate children in our area have a memorable Christmas. Through the dedication of these volunteers, our program has grown from two volunteers and three businesses in its early beginnings, to over 325 businesses and three dozen volunteers, serving Bucks County, as well as surrounding areas, and a population of over 670,000, a spokesperson for organization said.

The central and upper portions of the county have been organized with volunteers, said Bucks County Toys for Tots Organization officials, but Lower Bucks desperately needs the volunteer help in order to continue the program.
