A Community Grieves the Loss of an “Amazing Spirit”

Credit: Submitted

The family, friends, and the tattoo artist community are grieving and mourning the tragic loss of Rachael B. Metz, 29, a talented tattoo artist at Jaybird’s Tattoo Studio, and of Quakertown and formerly of Levittown.

“It is with great sorrow and a heavy heart to announce that our artist, Rachael, tragically passed away in a fatal car accident late last Thursday evening. Words cannot describe how she’ll be missed. We wish to offer our deepest condolences to all of her family, friends, and clients during this difficult time” a post reads from Jaybird’s on its Meta page.

Metz died in an one-vehicle crash on December 19 in Wrightstown, when her vehicle left the road, struck a tree, and burst into flames, officials said.  Her death was confirmed by Jaybird’s and made public in response to reader requests for more information on the accident.

Metz is described as an “amazing person” whose creative flair and aristy is second to none. The outpouring of love for her and the work she did can be seen on the Jaybird’s Meta page.

Family and friends are invited to Rachael’s Life Celebration on Friday, January 3rd, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by her Memorial Service at 1 p.m. at the Beck-Givnish Life Celebration Home, 7400 New Falls Rd, Levittown, PA 19055. The family encourages casual attire.
