State and Local Officials to Celebrate Pedestrian Safety Improvements in Newtown

State Senator Steve Santarsiero (D-10) and state Representative Perry Warren (D-31) will host a press conference to celebrate the state and local partnership resulting in two of Newtown Township’s newest pedestrian safety improvements.

Area residents and local elected officials will join legislators today, Monday, July 21, at 3 p.m.

The event will begin with the unveiling of significantly improved crosswalks at the intersection of Tara Boulevard and Newtown-Yardley Road. This will be followed by a presentation on Silo Drive and Sycamore Street.
