Facebook desktop users across the country are reporting the site is back up and running after being down for about two hours.
As for cause of the outage, Meta has yet to release a statement.

Early risers Sunday when logging into Facebook discovered they could not and were met with an error message on the web based version.
The social media website that is an essential part of our the modern day zeitgeist went down around 3:25 a.m., according to Downdector.com
The app is reportedly working according to a number of user reports.
There are some iuser reports Instagram is also down.
Meta, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram have yet to comment on the outage.
