Democratic Congressional candidate Ashley Ehasz, as expected, will move forward to her next battle in November taking on Congressman (R) Brian Fitzpatrick in a fight for Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District.
Fitzpatrick, the incumbent, dispatched challenger Alex Entin by a two to one margin.
Ehaz had no opponents in her bid on the Democratic side and said she is going to continue fighting for voters in PA 1 Tuesday night.
“I have fought for and served my country, facing combat overseas and commanding soldiers at home and abroad, and now I am ready to step into the arena for PA-01 and fight for our families and future here in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. With skyrocketing costs of living and reproductive rights on the line in 2022, it is more important than ever to elect leadership who puts people and democracy over political partisanship. The Republican party’s anti-choice, anti-family agenda has let our district down, and I’m running for Congress so our community can have the rights, opportunities and economic security we deserve,” she said in a release Tuesday night.

Fitzpatrick made no public statements about beating Entin, last night.
Looking ahead to November, Ehaz has her work cutout for her, even though political observers have said Fitzpatrick’s seat can be had. That mantra has been repeated since his brother Mike, beat Patrick Murphy in the 2010 midterms to retake the seat. Since then, the seat has had the Fitzpatrick name on it.
Additionally she’ll have to overcome Fitzpatrtick’s ability to spend on campaign ads. The congressmen from Levittown have about 1.4 million as of `April 30, to Ehaz’s $78,000 to spend.
Ehasz, 33, is a West Point graduate, Iraq war veteran, and former Apache helicopter pilot, running for Congress against Brian Fitzpatrick in Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District. After 13 years of military service as a pilot and a company Commander, she left the Army to get her Master’s degree at the University of Oxford. She lives in Bensalem.
