Many Pennsylvanians don’t know that there is a PA Department of Banking and Securities, or what the agency does. This session will help you understand the entities that are regulated; how to work with the outreach staff and services team; and how information is used from the public to help the department’s compliance and examination teams.
On Tuesday, April 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern Time, SCORE Bucks County offers a free webinar will be presented reviewing a few of the newest and most common frauds and scams that outreach staff hear about in their day-to-day work.
The key topics that will be covered are:
- The types of institutions, non-bank lenders, and investment professionals the Department regulates. The resources and programs offered by the Investor Education and Consumer Outreach staff.
- How the Consumer Services Office helps Pennsylvania Consumers with the concerns or complaints they have with our regulated entities and other resources they may need.
- The top 3-5 scams that are happening all over the Commonwealth.
- Where you can go to get more information and resources.
