LIHEAP Opens for 2022-23 Winter Season

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program is now taking applications for the 2023-24 heating season.

LIHEAP helps families living on low incomes pay their heating bills in the form of a cash grant.

Households in immediate danger of being without heat can also qualify for crisis grants. The income limit for the LIHEAP program remains at 150% of the federal poverty level income guidelines. This equates to the following income limits listed on the chart below.
