LIHEAP Opens for Winter Season

The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is now accepting applications for the 2025–26 season. This program helps eligible households pay heating costs through cash and crisis grants.

  • Application Period: Dec. 3, 2025 – April 10, 2026
  • Grant Amounts: $200 to $1,000 depending on income, household size and fuel type.
  • Eligibility: Income must be at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level (e.g., $48,225 for a family of four)
  • How to Apply:
    • Online via COMPASS
    • By mail or in person at your local County Assistance Office
    • Call 1-866-857-7095 for help
