MLK Leadership Awards to Recognize Four Changemakers Thursday Night

Bucks County Community College (BCCC), on Thursday, honors corporate, community, humanitarian, and student leaders during the fourth-annual BCCC Martin Luther King, Jr., Leadership Awards at the Newtown Campus.

To celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., BCCC presents awards to organization leaders who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and service to nondiscrimination, regardless of an individual’s station in life.

The ceremony will feature live music from the College’s Jazz Faculty Combo and Madrigal Singers, including the songs “MLK” by U2, and “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” well-known as the Black National Anthem.

Led by the College’s Associate Vice President for Student and Veterans Affairs and chief civil rights officer Kevin Antoine, with special remarks from President & CEO Patrick M. Jones, previous honorees will help present the awards to this year’s recipients:

The event will be held on Thursday, January 23, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Linksz Pavilion at Bucks County Community College, located at 275 Swamp Rd. in Newtown. The ceremony begins promptly at 5:30 p.m.
