No Kings Protests Set for Saturday with Millions Expected to Turnout Nationwide

Organizers plan over 3,100 No Kings protests on Saturday March 28, 2026 to challenge President Donald Trump’s policies, expecting millions of participants and highlighting large events across the nation.

The ACLU estimated that the June 2025 No Kings protests attracted about 5 million people at 1,800 events, and the October 2025 protests drew about 7 million people at 2,500 events.

Local organizers, including Indivisible Bucks County,  League of Women Voters, Peace Center of Bucks County have assembled a coalition of labor groups, progressive activists, civil‑rights organizations and faith leaders for tomorrow’s demonstrations.

“We have been witnessing the normalization of cruelty, bigotry, greed and violence of our leaders who are supposed to uphold the Constitution and protect our Democracy. Our most vulnerable populations are feeling a great deal of fear and uncertainty, while also facing hostility from those who are tasked with protecting them,” a Peace Center spokesperson said.

The name No Kings comes from the organizers’ belief that Trump is acting like a monarch rather than the leader of a democracy.

No Kings is not an organization itself, but the movement’s protests are supported by national progressive groups, such as Indivisible, that solicit donations to provide training, digital tools and marketing help. In 2023, Indivisible received a two-year, $3 million grant from the Open Society Foundations, which funds a variety of groups that support democracy and human rights. It was founded by billionaire philanthropist George Soros, long a bête noire of conservatives, according to a report from the Penn Capital-Star.

“On March 28 we will remind Trump and his enablers that real power belongs to the people not a flailing wannabe-king” a Indivisible spokesperson said.

The Peace Center of Bucks County is recommending  ways to stay safe and to de-escalate tensions if need be and respond to counter protesters:

1. Make sure you have someone looking out for you and your belongings, someone who can mobilize support, and a prearranged check-in time as a back-up plan.

2. Pack water and a protein bar.

3. Keep your identification in a safe place, like a zippered pocket, backpack, or fannypack.

4. Identify your goals for the day: How long will you stay? Will you march or support on the sidelines?

5. Be aware of your surroundings.
Introduce yourself to participants standing next to you.

How To Respond If A Counter Protester Approaches:

– Don’t engage. Stay calm. You can nod your head, but don’t speak.

– Take a few deep breaths. Confrontation causes an instinctive Fight, Flight or Freeze response which impedes the ability to think clearly. The critical thinking part of the brain gets high-jacked, so taking a few deep breaths or walking interrupts the instinctive response and returns thinking to the pre-frontal cortex.

– Move slowly to a different location.

– Don’t turn your back. You can turn to the side, but never turn your back if the person might have a weapon.

– Calmly step in and be an ally if someone is being bullied by a counter protester.

– Be sure to walk anyone who may be vulnerable to their car at the end of the event.

“Most importantly, be a joyful Peace Warrior!”

There are nine peaceful protests set to take place in the Lower Bucks County area.  The protest in Philadelphia is to take place at City Hall
