Morrisville Wawa Still Closed Due to Electrical Issues

Wawa West Trenton Avenue customers have given new life to the company’s marketing tag “Gotta Have Wawa” in recent days since the “temporary closure” of the Morrisville convenience store in Falls Township.

They’ve also come up with some creative ways to describe their ongoing W. Trenton Ave. Wawa withdrawal symptoms and perspective.

Frequent customers noted the closure beginning the night of June 22.

From a series of posts (and commenters under them) across various social media platforms what apparently happened during a fierce thunderstorm that night was the heavy rains leaked through the roof, causing flooding and electrical room problems.

There was a video from inside the store showing the pouring rain coming through the roof that was shared (and removed a short time later) on several social media sites.

A customer unaware of the closure pulled into the Wawa parking lot a day or so later and was shocked to find the location empty.

“I thought I was in the apocalypse today when I pulled in there and there was no one there lol!” she said.

Another commenter was also “shocked” to find their Wawa closed and said “It’s hoagiefest time dammit!!!”

As of late Wednesday afternoon, customers were still streaming in, hoping to find their favorite grab and go spot open, as they headed for the doors.

“Still closed,” an employee said, “we’re hoping to reopen tomorrow” (Thursday), the Wawa customer “in withdrawal” reported to Lower Bucks Source.
