PECO Powerline Work Lights Up Social Media in Lower Bucks County

Helicopter sightings over Lower Bucks County are treated with a response this reporter still doesn’t quite comprehend and with the reported sightings demanding answers from tipsters and alike.

Beginning Sunday afternoon, with a post on a Trevose-based Meta Page, Helo sightings came in fast and furious.

An Aérospatial Écureuil 2 was seen hovering over parts of Feasterville-Trevose and Bensalem.

Heather Pone, a friend of the publication, walked out her door on Tuesday to discover a High Voltage Aviation MD 500 helicopter that was working on power lines in Tullytown Borough and Bristol Township.

Several commenters and tipsters posted reels and photos of the helicopter while noting its low altitude on their favored social media apps.

MaryJo Hunt posted a more than 90 second reel of  the Écureuil 2 hovering over a SEPTA Regional Rail Station, presumably the Trevose station, on the West Trenton Line.

A PECO spokesperson said, late Tuesday, the helicopters were assisting with the overhead powerline line work in Lower Bucks County.

“This work is expected to be complete tomorrow,” PECO said.
